See your Westpac accounts in Cove

Connect Westpac to Cove Money through the Consumer Data Right and see your Westpac Choice account, Westpac Life savings, credit cards and home loan in one calm, read-only view.

Westpac is one of Australia's big four banks, home to everyday accounts like Westpac Choice and savings accounts like Westpac Life and eSaver. Connect Westpac to Cove and your day-to-day spending, savings, credit cards and home loan come together in one calm view — without logging in to internet banking just to check where things stand.

Good to know: St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA are Westpac Group brands but are separate data holders under the CDR, so each connects to Cove as its own institution.

How to connect Westpac to Cove

  1. Start in Cove. Open Cove, choose to add a bank, and pick Westpac from the supported list.
  2. Review the consent request. The Consumer Data Right consent screen shows exactly what data is requested, why it is needed, who can access it, how long access lasts, and how to withdraw consent later.
  3. Approve with Westpac. You're taken to Westpac's own verification step, where your identity is confirmed with a one-time password from Westpac. Cove never sees or stores your Westpac password.
  4. Choose the accounts to share. You pick which eligible Westpac accounts to share. Only the accounts you authorise are visible to Cove.
  5. See your money in one place. Your Westpac balances and transactions flow into Cove read-only and stay up to date automatically while your consent is active.

Security and the Consumer Data Right

Cove connects through the Consumer Data Right, Australia's regulated open banking system — not screen scraping. Cove Money operates as a CDR Representative of Fiskil Pty Ltd, an ACCC-accredited data recipient. Access is strictly read-only: Cove can see balances and transactions, but it can never move money, make payments, or change anything in your Westpac accounts. You can revoke access at any time, from Cove or from your bank's data sharing dashboard.

Westpac FAQs

Is connecting Westpac to Cove safe?

Cove's access is read-only and runs through Australia's Consumer Data Right. Cove Money operates as a CDR Representative of Fiskil Pty Ltd, an ACCC-accredited data recipient, and you approve the connection inside Westpac's own login — Cove never sees your Westpac password. You can revoke access at any time.

Does Cove also support St.George, Bank of Melbourne and BankSA?

Yes — they're all in Cove's supported list, but as separate connections. Each Westpac Group brand is its own data holder under the Consumer Data Right, so you connect the brand you actually bank with.

Can I see my Westpac home loan in Cove?

Yes. Your Westpac home loan balance and transactions sync read-only, so your loan is part of your net worth picture without Cove ever being able to touch it.

Does Cove work with Westpac joint accounts?

Joint accounts can be shared under the Consumer Data Right, though Westpac may first ask each account holder to approve data sharing for the account. If a joint account doesn't appear in Cove, check the data sharing settings in your Westpac banking.

No. Sharing your data under the Consumer Data Right is free for consumers — Westpac doesn't charge for it, and Cove doesn't charge anything beyond your normal subscription.
